BoomTracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

Boom Tracker (operated by Omni Innovations LLC) is built to need as little personal data as possible. You can report and browse completely anonymously.

What we collect

  • Reports you submit: location you choose, time, what you experienced, optional description and media. Location metadata (EXIF/GPS) is stripped from uploaded photos.
  • A device token: a random ID stored in your browser so you can see “your” reports. It is not tied to your identity.
  • A hashed network fingerprint: we store a one-way hash of your IP address (never the raw IP) to limit spam and abuse.
  • Account info (optional): if you sign up, your email, name, and a hashed password.
  • Basic analytics: page views, anonymous visitor/session IDs (random, cookie-based), referrer, and coarse device type. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

To run the map and timeline, cluster related reports, reduce spam and abuse, understand how the site is used, and (if you opt in) email you when new events occur.

AI processing

Report and comment text (and uploaded photos) may be sent to an AI provider (such as OpenAI) to screen for spam and abuse and to help detect related events. Do not include sensitive personal information in your submissions.

Public content

Reports, media, and comments you post are public on the site by design. Your account name appears next to your comments. Anonymous reports are not shown with any identifying information publicly.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the site (hosting, AI screening, email) or where required by law.

Your choices

Report anonymously, decline cookies in your browser, unsubscribe from emails at any time, and request deletion of your content or account by emailing Brian@omniinnovationsllc.com.
